What's with all this negativity - we managed it perfectly well when we went to Paris. Even with Robert leading, we all just stuck together. For some of us that was the pinnacle of our motorcycling career!
I just remember Belgium in November 2018:eek:

9th man drop off......

The Angarrack Inn in Angarrack (a 15 minute walk according to a reliable informant) has been suggested. Probably need to book or warn them in some way which I'll do on Wednesday having used replies below as a measure of enthusiasm.

I’m easy, but if weathers shit I won’t be walking 15 mins I’ll just go in pub, I’ve never stayed in a premier inn and not been able to get a meal.

590 is coming in at 8 hours 10 minutes.

No stops or delays......

The boundless enthusiasm expressed in these responses has led me to an executive decision on the Sunday night meal options.

We're going to assume that as hotel guests we can just eat in their restaurant. We'll do the normal bar at 6-6:30 thing and attempt to book a large table for 7:30-8. If that fails and the weather's not foul we'll walk (the tougher among us anyway) to the pub for 7-7:30 and attempt to eat there. If that also fails we'll just have to survive on beer and beef jerky, raisins, Mars bars and whatever else we've concealed in our tank bags.

As rufty-tufty Iron Butters I'm sure we'll survive until breakfast somehow.

On Saturday I expect to arrive in Lowestoft between 6-7 and presumably others will be available for socialising in the bar and/or restaurant. There will be a newbie, not yet one of us as it were, separately arriving Saturday so if everyone could make a special effort to appear normal he might not be scared off right away.

On Sunday morning breakfast starts at 7am (I don't make the rules, I'm just reporting facts) and we'll need to leave no later than 7:50 for the ten minute ride to Ness Point where we'll take a group photo and distribute patches.

Everyone reaching Lands End will assemble in front of the "LANDS END" sign for the group photo at 1630. That will be taken by a clever volunteer who can master the art of snapshot lit by the dying glow BEHIND us and the sign (unless someone has a better idea). We'll then disperse with the hard nuts returning home by whatever circuitous routes they fancy and us sociable types making our way to Hayle.

Spot track available from 2pm Saturday onwards

So, thinking about 2020 - how about LE-JOG, sunset-sunrise on the shortest day;)
