The National Memorial is less than 50miles from home for me, down the A5, up the A38; couldn't possibly be easier, but not exactly challenging either, so I've plotted a route avoiding A roads. Yes, I need to cross a few, but all are straight cross roads, no left then 1/2 a mile down the road right jiggles. Except for the last half a mile to the entrance of the Arboretum it's going to be entirely on country lanes or B roads. Okay, it's never going to be a massive mileage which ever way I go, but I trust it's still in the spirit of things.
