These days you have to have Plan B as I found on the Autumn Equinox ride last weekend when floods spoiled Plan A.

Plan A. For a corner marker at Balranald, you could use the 24 hour servo east of town, on the right, just before you turn south on the Mallee Hwy to Tooleybuc. The rest looks fine. Ride well.

Caught up with ACTCapo on the road be for Balranald. Pulled in the the servo, he grabbed a corner docket, and left. We did have a short chat, about half way through the ride he said. he was looking forward to getting the rest of it done.

I did find another one in the list - Alan Heglund in 2015, but it's spelt "ANZEC" in the list (maybe with a Kiwi accent...)

Its not, it was done a year before the 'specific' ANZAC ride was put together...Alan's from South Aus so I suspect a typo.

If I was really clever, I would post a picture of the original IBA certificate of this ride but, seriously I went from Adelaide to Nhill, Zeerust, Albury, finishing in Chisholm ACT.

A bit of history of the riders that instigated this IBA ride:

Karl Pirchmoser #54975 and I, Allan Hegelund #56444, came up with the idea to have this ride done under IBA rules. Subsequently, on the 24th of April 2015, saw us set out from different parts of Australia, successfully complete an IBA ride and meeting up in Canberra, our Capital City in time to partake in the 2015 Dawn Service, this the Centenary year.

Thank you Alan and Karl for establishing this commemorative ride. There are a number of Kiwi riders that have also completed this ride.
