I've been researching and noting down all the major events that are on around the UK this weekend just in case ;) Plus watching the usual weather predictions and planned overnight road closures on the major roads and various motorways. o_O [/QUOTE]

Bit anal Mark, don't you think?

Yes, but what I put on here and what I actually do may be two completely different things ;) (or not :p)

You should all have got a couple of emails from me in the last few days regarding Sunday food and other stuff.

Check your junk folders . Email me if you didn't get it.

Don't forget to bring your USB stick if you want the bonus points electronically.

Well the rally is over for another year as is my tenure of the position of RallyMaster

I'd like to thank Bev and Chris Kilner in particular for all of the help that they have given me over the past two years as without their help, I just could not have done the job.

I also hope that all of the riders who have ridden in the rally over the last two years have had fun

Thank you John, they've both been great.

Now you can put your feet and read a magazine, I reckon you'll have a few to choose from, may I suggest a pineapple smoothy too ;)

Due to to the extended dinner arrangements the presentations were a bit late. Then we all dived in the bar to console ourselves and relax. I'll put a report on here tonight.

Hi Folks

Here are the final standings from the 2016 BBR in addition to the finishers below there were also 3 DNF, one mechanical, one failure to visit a compulsory bonus and one late arrival (and start !!)
For those of you not at the event, we announced this is the last BBR Bev and I will be directly involved with, after 5 years in the rally team we feel its time for someone else to have a bash and I wish to ride next year, as I did the first four, especially as its the 10th Rally and getting increasingly difficult to wave 40 bikes out of the car park and wishing I was one of them !
We would like to thank everyone of you that has ridden those events and all the help we have had, both over the Rally weekends and when putting the Rally books together in 2012-2014. A special mention must be made for Phil Weston and the amazing support he has given us and the organisation as UK president, without his calm guiding hand I don't think the organisation would continue to go from strength to strength.
Bev and I have the European Tour to finalise in the next month or two and will hopefully see some of you in Germany in September, if not 5:30 am in the car park on 27th May 2017 !!

Ride safe

Chris

Pheeeeewwww...
Chris, a little comment about the "conversion" of miles to km and vice versa. Something went wrong here. In your ceremony announcements and also on the certificates, a km value was given, but the conversion with 1.609 was not made so it appears we who had km odometers have all done a flower-picking ride this weekend :D

Sorry:D:D:D

A great rally, great rally team, great organisation, as ever.;):):):)

I see what you mean, it says KM on the certificate but in fact its the Miles that's showing its just the units which are wrong, all the calculations are correct just chose to display the wrong units in the certificate print, sorry now amended for next year and fixed above !
Unless you were of course picking flowers all weekend :D:D
