Are there any other long distance rallies?

If you're out East, there is the Mason-Dixon 20-20 http://www.masondixon20-20.org/

Also out East is the Void Rally http://rallythevoid.org/

If you're in the Midwest, there is the Minnesota 1000 http://www.teamstrange.com/

If you've done a certificate ride and not a rally, I'd strongly suggest starting out with a 24 hour rally. Some people find out they don't like bonus hunting and the record-keeping aspects of riding in a rally. If it turns out you don't like rallying, it's better if the time and money commitment is 1 day instead of 6 or 11 days. I've had a couple of Butt Lite riders tell me at the end of 6 days that they learned they didn't like rallying. Not sure if they felt the same way going in. ;)

Thanks, David! Great info. I'm in Vegas, so even the Midwest locations are a bit of a stretch from a time standpoint. And this is precisely why I am seeking a rally or two to test the waters.

Since you are in Vegas - I definitely recommend you checking out the HW3 Rally out of Grand Junction.
