Pete was our President for awhile, he sorted out some things left by our previous president. Phil took over from Pete. He'd be in his Land Rover with his partner Susie they have been doing a mega Scotland and its Islands tour, great bloke. Not sure if he still rides but he did have a Triumph Rocket with a car tyre on the back because he did so many miles.

Thanks for sharing John.

I think Pete gave up riding about 4 or 5 years back, when he took up long distance walking big time.

We still exchange Christmas cards.

Roof tents look cool and do attract attention on UK campsites. They're a pain though when you remember you need to pop to the shops, then you have to fold it all down and pack it away again.

Yes Pete is an exceptional long distance rider.

He was the first rider outside of the USA to complete a 4 seasons Saddlesore 1000 and second worldwide. He was also rally master for two Brit Butt Rallies.

Looks like he's enjoying life away from the sometimes solitary long distance riding
