Had a new 500 miles, Driveguard and hit something on I-40 at the AZ/NM border. Tire lost air etc, but I was able to continue riding it to Gallup at about 45mph. ran pretty straight on the straights and was a little wobbly in slow speed turns (in the city). Managed to find a shop with a use 195/55-16 and put that on. Figure I drove about 30 miles on the tire. Checked it for heat and it was not even hot. Incredible tech. They really mean it when they say up to 50 miles. Other than the 2 inch slice on the tire it still looked new. Was able to get a replacement in ABQ and continue on my way to Nova Scotia. BTW if anyone needs info on importing bikes into Canada I have the recent knowledge. Was a 2008 GL1800

Hahaha... Thank you for sharing. That was entertaining. I guess every forum has a "Pappy", eh? I wonder if it is actually the same guy just going by different names....? :D
