Eyup

#1
Eyup from Bradford, West Yorkshire. My name is Michael Rigby and I've been riding bikes for over 36 years. I've done a few long rides in my time but never one to get Iron Butt certification. I'm going to do this next year and hopefully raise some money for the charity my wife works for so I'm looking for tips and advice.

Yes, I've thought of joining the RBLR1000 but not this time. Maybe another year.

Cheers

Plan the ride - from the start estimate your ETA for each fuel stop and refreshment break through to the finish, ride the plan. Its not a race, there's plenty of time to put in 1,000+ miles. Practice getting your refuelling stops down to 5 minutes as that is where you'll encounter the biggest time thief. If you feel tired stop and take a break, if you feel you cannot complete the ride bail out.

Good luck
