Farkleit, looks like there is another question added to Karl's quote...."also will a trip logged in spotwalla be accepted on the day?to confirm actual route ridden"

Normal documentation, as per IBA ride rules, of your ride is required, that is electronic dockets etc.. Spotwalla may be used to assist in verification or as a supplement to your documentation but not as the only piece of information to confirm actual route.

Not many sleeps now till entry forms.
Our plan takes us through Sydney and to avoid peak traffic we need to run ontime that see us complete our 1600 either just after midnight or very early am Saturday of the muster. Powets that be say as long as the ride finishes at Parkes on Saturday its in the approved window. Theoreticlly then you could get a fuel docket and sign off at 00.05hrs Saturday am

Please correct me if im wrong
My plan looks like this too. Aiming to get into Parkes just after midnight. Plan to complete at BP Parkes . Might see you there.

I just went to fill in the the rego form to send in on Monday. Are the mens shirt sizes correct? the only option near my size is : Small - 104cm !!!
NO large or XL, ( which is more like the Small and Med listed ), then 2Xl, 3XL, 5XL.

That is one very large shirt in the small size, if I was to buy that one it would fit me and my Goldwing inside!, or did I get a corrupted PDF?

Ray, I am around 173cm tall and about 106cm around the chest.... I wear the Med 110cm shirt. Karl might put his size up later or not :)

Thanks for picking up the error on the form with the absence of L and XL we are madly fixing that:)

Submission of registration IS ...Monday?.
It says 1st which is Monday in the New England I'm sure?

So
Sunrise on the 1st of July is 07:51 & sets 18:03 A short day with a moon that's not at all much to cheer about. But a black night will get those big LED's humming.
If your finishing in the daylight on Saturday the 2nd the sun wont much show before 07:51 and a smidge.
Ive designed my route to keep the sun out of my hairy face at each end of the day and if I need I'll use all of those 24 hrs if need be.
Now for some ride fitness trips to get back in some form.

Documents all ready to act upon. Roll on Monday.

Hi TJ.
may I prevail of your keen spirit and ask,
In regards points 11 & 12 of Ride Documentation.
Point 11. Odo kilometers...this is being submitted prior to the ride so is this start of ride reading?
point 12 how does that work prior to the ride. I'm not alone in asking this question so maybe your answer will help us bush baby's.
Cheers

I am with Gatey on the Ride Documentation questions. Looking forward to a solution on that too.

The bride has decided she is missing out on the fun and plans to pillion the trip. She is not an IBA member this will be her first SS1600K.
Can she pay her $20 and join in the day?
Can she pre register her ride and get a certificate on the day?
Will she be allowed to get an IBA Australia Inaugural Muster shirt?
No bad blood if she can't although she would be disappointed if she was locked out. Just be good to know.
Thanks for making the effort to make this happen.

Documentation response to Gatey:

Do not fill in items 11 & 12. But be very certain that you supply a google map or bing map or mapquest with your route, and that the mileage on the one you submit is at least 1,600 km AND that you get gas receipts at the corners of your route.

More on documentation later.

Thank you Howard and TJ.
My route has been carefully scrutinised for those loop's through towns that Google like to put in the occasion route just in case and my route has 3 corners only + 1 confirmation of location docket + the start and finish. All very neat.
In all the route is 1635km. A route I travelled a few years ago on another bike. Both bikes hold a similar error in the odo across 1000km. I have an extra location in the south of my route should any doubt creep in prior to submission.
Cheers

Just in reply to your question :)
  1. Only IBA members (must have IBA number) are eligible to participate in this inaugural ride.
In and attempt to be supportive but still remain within the spirit of the rule above:
A non IBA pillion will be allowed to participate in this ride if they are piloted by an IBA rider (as they have experience in planning and risk mitigation etc.).

Yes, this is the registration fee only
Can she pre register her ride and get a certificate on the day?
No - the normal process for ride verification will need to be followed.
Will she be allowed to get an IBA Australia Inaugural Muster shirt?
There are no Muster shirts only the IBA Australia Shirts which have the IBA Australia logo.

I have started a conversation (PM) with you

All Booked, plan submitted and rego paid. Bring on July.
If anyone's plan has them going through Gundy about 4pm on 1 July I would be happy to have some one to share the cold dark with.

As long as the ride is completed in Parkes NSW on the 2nd July 2016 and meets IBA rules, it will be accepted.
Can you add that to the rules section at http://www.ibaaustralia.com/musters/ ? I couldn't see a reference that the ride needs to be completed on the Saturday just that an IBA ride needed to be done or attempted to be done to attend. Might save some furrowed brows for anyone riding into Parkes before midnight on the Friday.
