inland or coastal ?
Inland...drier and colder
coastal...wetter and warmer(subjective)

maybe I'll ride an FAI triangle...... (google is your best friend)

I'll be running a fairly conservative route but through some pretty country. This event will,be a great first IBA hit out for the Kato.

It'll be the first time I've done a run and submitted the paperwork in a few years!

Yeah I have about six completed rides sitting here I never submitted. Other times you really want a written record of your ride, like the first memorial run I did after the FarRiders management hissy fit.

Maybe the establishment of the Oz IBA and the muster give the Oz distance riding community something important and unifying.

For that reason, I think the muster is a very important marker for Oz distance riding and the first memorial run after Pat's passing has great significance for me, so hopefully I can get these two done and submitted well.

Well I just did my registration.

Been pondering my route choice and ran a few alternatives and I think I'll stick with my first option as stated back a bit.

I've had a question floating about my brain for a while. Karl TJ whats your thoughts
As this is a pre approved circuit what would be the course of action if on the day one was to find their way closed at some point that has limited alternative road bike roads?
What would one do if half way to Cobar from Bourke the road was flooded and you had to turn around. Would one be required to retreat to Nyngan then go to Cobar to reconnect with the route?
Just pondering...no big deal.

As long as you complete the ride in the required time-frame and with appropriate documentation, we will be able to issue a Muster Certificate. We will need verify your new route (which means going through the normal process) and amend the certificate, therefore the chances of receiving the certificate on the night would be very slim.

We will as much as possible, assist riders as best we can:)

While we are all at the Confessional, I will fess up to having ticked off over 14 IBA rides in the last 2 years - 1600's, a few 2000's, 2500's/36 and a 3000/48.
I have submitted 2 - a SS1600 and the 2014 Memorial SS1600 ride.
That means I have 12+ IBA rides sitting in my ride record box - all with signed witness forms, receipts, etc
Please forgive me Father Mike, I know I am naughty, I will try to submit them before Xmas .......
I need a ride secretary :)

I feel much better having confessed :)
