Ok, So its the Dambusters Inn at Scampton in Lincolnshire

53°18'05.6"N 0°34'20.9"W

23 High St, Scampton, Lincoln LN1 2SD

Named after the famous RAF 617 Squadron, Dambusters Inn, is situated in the quiet village of Scampton, adjacent to the Scampton Air base, home to the Red Arrows, Medals and RAF memorabilia adorn the multi-roomed interior. Be a diner or drinker, a warm welcome is always received, you may even get greeted by Bomber the pubs dog, not too dissimilar to the mascot of the 617 squadron, Guy Gibson's dog, Nigger. Beer festivals in May (around the anniversary of the Dambuster raid) and Autumn. Two beers brewed by the landlord are usually available. The pub is at the end of RAF Scampton's runway - look out for the Red Arrows! Local CAMRA Pub of the Year 2107 and CAMRA Lincolnshire Pub of the Year 2018 amongst many awards.

also Thanks to Bob M

Hi Dambusters fans,
FYI. Apparently unique permission has been given by the RAF Museum Hendon for WC Guy Gibson`s Victoria Cross to be on display in Lincoln, at the Collection Museum, along with other rare artefacts, from 25th Jan until Sunday 15th March. Previously unseen memorabilia from Douglas Bader, including stuff from Colditz, will also be on display.

so perhaps a visit here beforehand say 10.00 for those interested
