Motoz tire mounting issue

Ok so mounting a new set of Motoz tractionater gps's on my GS and I had an extraordinarily difficult time mounting front tire, then I noticed on the opposite end of the tire these objects jammed in-between the bead and rim. Yes I failed to inspect the inside of a new tire, I did clean the rim so not from BMW. What are they ?

Well they definitely aren't part of a tyre..... look like covers for something, were you using a machine to fit, are they off the wheel clamps on a tyre fitting machine turntable?

I just use tire irons,no clamps. lesson learned for me always thoroughly inspect everything whether its new or not.
