My take on the IBR

Twenty roads diverged in the IBR,
And sorry I could not travel all
And be one traveler, long I stared
And looked down at the screen as long as I dared,
To where the points lie in the undergrowth;

Then took one, wondering all the while,
Did I deserve to be here, would I have the game,
Because it was cooler and my tires needed wear;
Though for the other routes, never to Florida, never there,
What was the winning route, they can’t all be the same?

And all that morning equally lay
in vast confusion for this Rookie, just happy to be.
Oh, I rode the first, second and third,
Assuming all the while I was back of the herd,
I avoided Utah, fearing I would stay

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Jeff Earls should know
Old Faithful is NOT less traveled by,
And linger not, lest you capture Lisa’s glare!

I rode and I slept and I rode some more
Not even North Dakota gave a bore
Whilst not much romance at 2 in the morn,
All the states have me begging to come back
To see Wendy Crockett show us again where to track!
