NAV VI has a new trick?

OK, so I posted about how I had to replace my NAV VI for the infamous ghosting issue. Here's a few things I have noticed since setting up the new one:

1. After getting the new device, I did some rides just to get the device and the bike acquainted. Everything went fine.

2. I always remove the GPS from the bike and store it on my desk or in a cabinet. After a couple of weeks, I began planning a new trip and when I turned the GPS on, many of my settings had been set back to default, including the loss of connectivity to my phone.

3. Today, while on a ride, I tapped the screen, which brings up zoom controls. I tapped the screen again, and for the first time, I saw a search icon in the upper-right. Pressing it reveals a list of various items like gas stations, banks, hospitals, etc.

Has anyone ever seen this before? I know I haven't in over 48K miles of use. I think that the zoom level can't be too far out for this to work.
