I’ve read that the IBA will soon roll out the Ice Cream 1000 or something like that. Any truth to this and if so any info that can be shared?

Not meant to be funny, perhaps the joke is on me. I heard from someone I thought reasonably in the know about the IBA. This is how rumors spread.

At each gas stop, maybe the Rider could be required to take a picture of their glucometer blood glucose reading. Just my 2-cents. Apologies to any diabetics out their.

BTW, my friend Allen ( RIP ) and I did a Great Lakes 100 together several years back. He was diabetic. So we had to stop for a sit down breakfast, lunch, and dinner and he would check his blood glucose level and administer his insulin. We successfully completed the ride in 96 hours. No ice cream was consumed, tho.

EDIT: Well ........ I may have had some ice cream on my apple pie at the Italian restaurant we stopped at for dinner in Thunder Bay before we ended that day in Nipigon.
