I see that Garmin just launched their new inReach.

Dcrainmaker does a better job of explaining it than I ever would.

For those of us who have a Garmin smartwatch, I like that the inReach's will now integrate with it. It would be much easier for me to punch a "gas stop now" message from my wrist during a ride, vs. having to dig out the unit from my tank bag. I hope that they will roll out some new firmware features for the previous unit (that I purchased 3 weeks ago!!)

It is cool for a form factor. The issue is that it is only $50 less than an SE and $100 less than an Explorer.

I think I still like the Explorer more.
