The black leather rear seat is not for a passenger. The top of the seat is covered in an heavy duty vinyl. It is flat and the backrest slips into it. Pictures available.

The seat fits on R1200GS-Adv and R1200GS bikes. I do not know if it fits on the new water-cooled bikes.
