Riding around S.A.

It has been a little quiet on the local forum so I thought I would share what is happening with me in S.A.

Back in May I purchased another Super Tenere. It is the same year and colour as my other one but with almost 300,000 less kilometres.

I have been swapping parts and adding to it and have been riding around the state as much as possible with over 13,000 km since purchased. I am planning on purchasing another one in the states for future rallies and hope to set it up similar to the one I recently purchased.

I have been having a good time doing the Lobo Loco rallies on my new bike and looking forward to the two other ones scheduled for the end of September and mid October.

I recently had time off and wanted to ride to the west coast but no luck with the borders. I then planned a ride north but had to put that on hold when Darwin and Katherine went into lock down a few days before my planned departure. A quickly put together ride around the state had me complete a SS4000.

I am off for another Saddle Sore on Monday which should be good practice with efficiency as I will need 14 receipts for the days ride.

Hopefully the borders out east will open sometime in the near future and a RTE or something similar can be planned, it has been far too long.

Looks like you completed your Commonwealth Star SS1600 Jeff, well done and I can see why you needed 14 receipts!

Great work Jeff ... excellent commitment to promoting SA tourism :D;) Those 14 receipts is a challenge in itself! Top effort on all accounts.
With a Local Government area riding restriction my bike has remained in the shed for the past 2 months. I was going to get it out for a 30 min run around the suburbs but simply could not be bothered moving cars and getting all the riding clobber on. Must have clocked a few hundred k's on the Trek pushbike, so thats a bonus I guess. Inspirational stuff by you mate. And I agree that some type of RTE gathering woud be great. I think the last time I gathered with any of the IBA crew was at the Netallie Hill memorial last year. Looks like 2022 before interstate adventures will be on the cards for us plague-ridden souls in NSW
