Brilliant! This stuff is great. The latest AMCN has a report on a couple of crazies that rode Perth Adelaide two up on a Triumph twin back in the 30s. Time? 2.5 days back when it was rough gravel and deep sand.

I would love the Oz IBA to be a repository of Australian Long distance riding history, from these guys through to the round Australia record people, to John McCrindle and Derrick Sutton, then Davo and the current era. There are some amazing stories out there and some amazing people we ride in the wheeltracks of.

Dirt tracks across Australia. Brings up memories of riding Melbourne to Perth in 1976. Three days with dirt from Nundroo to the Western Australian border. Wonderful memories of my Honda 500/4 that got me there and back.
