Correct me if im mistaken but to get certified the Ride has to be completed in 24hrs. Is that for the day on the solar eclipse or can i do my SS 1 day earlyer and get the certificate for a total solar gold? I always like to arrive 1 day earlyer however if that interfere with a solar certificate ill leave august 12.
hi Roy, to get the special IBA Solar Eclipse certificate, you need to have the minimum spec of riding at least 300 miles to your eclipse viewing location and view the eclipse at the time of the 'maximum view' of the eclipse for that location as part of the SaddleSore 1000

Thanks Michiel, now i can plan the route! 1567 km from my home so a slight detour and make it a SS1600K solar.

Good idea!Will be there as well, photo and dinner.
Hotels are crazy expensive in the area that day, so I booked one 30 km down the road in Pedrola. After the eclipse planning a couple of days touring in the Picos.
Im also planning a nice trip after the Eclipse.
I was lucky - have booked not long ago at Pinseque. It is 16km away to Restaurant El Cachirulo. And I payed a regular price (most places have multipled the fare right for that night).
But unfortunately they have no free rooms anymore.
