Anyone have any experience with the Steelmate tp-90?

Runs off the 12 volt bike system, so it has an integrated voltage meter. The pressure sensors each have their own battery, and sit on the outside instead of the inside of the tire - making them easy to access. Apparently these don't require a metal valve. Just wondering if anyone knows anything more about them?

Jon,
While I know nothing about that specific system, I can tell you from experience... when it comes to mounting a TPMS sensor externally on a valve stem, I don't care what the instructions say, the stem needs to be metal.
DO NOT install external TPMS sensors onto rubber valve stems.
Good metal stems are inexpensive, and eliminate the chance of shearing off a brand new rubber stem in the middle of a 48-Plus attempt... on a Saturday evening in Missoula Montana, and losing 17 hours of precious riding time because you have to wait for a tire store to open on Sunday and break the bead on the tire to replace it.
