To remember those who took part in the Human Torpedo (Trondheimsfjorden-Operation Title) and X-Craft (Alta Fjord-Operation Source) attempts to sink the Tirpitz and the subsequent raids when the Tirpitz was sunk by 9 Squadron and 617 Squadron (Operation Catechism).

Route Outline.

Scunthorpe to Alta (Tirpitz Museum) via the Fættfjordvegen Tirpitz Memorial and Tromso Tirpitz Memorial.
This ride is in excess of 3000 miles and uses Le Shuttle and the Tunnel & Bridge from Denmark to Sweden.
Special rules will apply.

Sunday 28th July 0600 hours start at Scunthorpe.
Ride to Eurotunnel Folkestone via RAF Scampton.
1030 hours (ish) Eurotunnel to France.
Fættfjordvegen Tirpitz memorial.
Tromso Tirpitz Platen
Wednesday 31st July finish receipt at Alta and regroup at the Tirpitz-museum in Kåfjord.

A special issue IBA Tirpitz Memorial Ride Certificate will be available to those who successfully complete the ride by noon on 31st July.

Those who complete the ride after this time will receive a Tirpitz Memorial Ride Certificate.

This ride is classed as an Extended Ride for Mile Eater purposes (More than 48 hours)
To take part you must have completed at least an SS1000.
If you have not completed an SS1000 the RBLR is an excellent opportunity to complete one.

The pre-verified route will be provided in GPX format. Receipt locations to prove the route will be included.

This could also be an opportunity to complete a European E2E as Nordkapp less than 150 miles from Alta:)
