Just a few opportunities within Texas for anyone with the interest.

"Texas is a world unto itself.

It takes only half an hour to drive from PITTSBURG to OMAHA, and it is only 54 miles from BOSTON to DETROIT, but the POINTBLANK route from EARTH to PARADISE is via GASOLINE. There are COLFAX. If you try your VERIBEST, you can find UTOPIA. These are all Texas towns, and while Massachusetts has one Boston, Texas has BOSTON, NEW BOSTON and OLD BOSTON. No Harvard and no beans, but Texas has PRINCETON and OKRA.

Without leaving Texas, you can go to Holland, Malta, India, China, Ireland, Italy, Trinidad, Turkey, Palestine, Scotland, Egypt, Erin and Moravia. You can visit Jericho, Liverpool, London, Macedonia, Moscow, Manchester, Tampico, Tokio, Troy, Vienna, Warsaw, Tunis, Odessa, Newcastle, Paris, Petersburg, Rugby, Sparta, Sheffield, Stockholm, Athens, Bolivar, Cadiz, Canton, Dorchester, Dresden, Dublin, Edinburg, Geneva, Genoa, Oxford and Bogata. These are all cities, towns or villages in Texas. Named after more famous cities? Not always so. Take Dublin, for instance. In the early days a large double cabin was built where the villagers sought refuge during Indian raids. They "doubled in" to "Double Inn" at such times and the town was eventually named Dublin.

In Texas you will find Blackfoot & Bluetown, Dial & Telephone, Alto & Tennerville, Dresden & China, Cash & Price. There are Cement & Friendship, Commerce & Industry, Concord & Grapevine, Concrete & Stonewall, Energy & Pep, Mickey & Finney, Paris & Green, Sherwood & Forest, Burlington & Rock Island. There are Desoto & Dodge... Wells & Fargo, Fisk & Goodrich, Hope & Crosby, Morgan & Vanderbilt. Oilso, you will find Humble and Oiltown, Texico & Gasoline, Phillips & Petroleum. There is mixed company in Booth & Lincoln, Burns & Allen, George & Washington, Carmen & Mirando City, Happy & Chandeler, Cordele & Hull, Davey & Jonesboro, Elsa & Maxwell, Irene & Dunn, Lillian & Russell, James & Monroe, Ogden & Nash, Fred & Waring. You will also find Franklin, James, Elliott & Roosevelt.

Texas is the place where:

Folks undress in PLAINVIEW

Take baths on FRIDAY in COLOGNE

Get PETTY in the CACTUS at the CROSS ROADS

Where girls have a STRUCTURE as STOUT as VENUS

And are CONTENT to seek COMFORT with TARZAN.

They are Texas towns."
