Thinking about a Border to Border next year

I rode the Border to Border to Border in 48 hours. My route was the one suggested above.
Got a receipt from the motel in Coutts, AB and crossed over past the casino west of Yuma, AZ.
Border crossing was easy, gas about 7 blocks away. Los Algodones crossing rocks!

I’ve been considering a B2B starting point of Los Algadones myself, perhaps in the upcoming year. With a stay in Yuma, it’s only 15 minutes from the starting point, and I can leave my panniers at the hotel and pick them up (as well as breakfast at the HI Express) after the start. Jump on Hwy 95 to 15 and straight north through Vegas and Salt Lake and on to the Great White North and Creston BC.

I’ve got the gas stops planned, just need to get my ass in gear and get it done!

I did the B2B in August. I started in Coutts, AB and finished in Los Algodones, Baja California. I-15 was the main route. The crossing into and then out of Los Algodones was very easy and fast. I bought a couple of bottles of Coke at the liquor store for my DBR. Most of the town is dental offices and pharmacies and they actually have guys helping you park depending on which dental office you’re going to. I told one guy I needed a receipt and he held a parking place for me in front of the liquor store; about two blocks from the border port of entry. Of course you’d need to move your start to Yuma, but it may be worth it to have the easy border crossings. The Coutts border crossing was very easy also.

Just curious but why Creston BC and not Coutts AB? Coutts is more than 100km closer.
