2022 Scooter 1500 Insanity

#1
Hi All and Happy Friday,
It has been raining at Central Coast for the last .. forever, however (drumrolls!) the weather is going to improve for the next two days with next to no rain conditions. It's still going to be wet and all that, but other than zillions of massive potholes everywhere across the NSW universe, the weather conditions should be near perfect.
With that in mind, here is the weekend plan:
Stage 1 Gossie to Dubbo: https://goo.gl/maps/GVLFwjqJXArgoL8C8
Stage 2 (Stage 1 of Commonwealth Star): https://goo.gl/maps/8EMJbbQM6qsMYj667
Stage 3 (Stage 2 of Commonwealth Star): https://goo.gl/maps/46hc41WE69y7Yxip6
Stage 4 Dubbo to Gossie: https://goo.gl/maps/1EiSupnMNMrwAdE67

Commonwealth Star distance: 1,637 kms
Scooter 1500 Insanity distance: 2521.5 kms

The aims are to:
A. Do some riding + witchcraft to improve riding conditions for the upcoming winter
B. Attempt to score the Scooter 1500 Insanity
C. Nest the Commonwealth Star (Dubbo is perfect for it!)

As always, it would be great to hear from you all, if I am not breaking any rules, especially when it comes to nesting.

Recent upgrades to my XMAX to make the ride possible:
- Airhawk cusion (a must have)
- Quad lock + USB for the mobile
- SAE plug connector - just in case (for the air pump, or heated gear)

Looks like you have a plan, hopefully the weather gods will be kind!
Both Merrivale and Dunedin have great cake shops, just saying
I’d guess the Airhawk will make the ride a little more comfortable ;)

Subject to your ride plan we may be able to meet up sometime?

Looks like a friggin octopus :)

It’s a great ride, looks similar to the one I did some years ago using different bikes for each leg.

Just keep an eye on causeways, between Elong Elong and Dubbo. There are a couple of causeways that rise rapidly, aquaplaned a scooter a few years ago across one and that was the end of that adventure o_O

Re different bikes for each leg - wow!! Must have been heaps of fun!
I think I found bits and pieces of information on that ride of yours a while back .. definitely rings a bell.

Re causeways - thanks! If there are any major challenges.. there is always another time, and more tales to tell either way ;)

Re meetup - sounds good, remind me your whereabouts?
My weekend plan with quite rough timing for stops (quite realistic on the scooter, plus heaps of breaks):

After some chasing, (Krystof’s scooter flies) I finally caught up and had a quick Coffee at Nevertire.

He had a great run into Dubbo and I made sure he continued his ride as I waved him off at Guyrie To continue his adventure :D

Yes, thanks again for the coffee (next one is on me ) , an amazing chat, and the pacing! To be honest, I had never met in person any like minded human being, so it was a bit like talking with myself
The 6 minutes rule seriously rocks @Skidoo ! One day I'll be as efficient as you, so apologies if I was dragging my feet a bit, but it was quite funny to watch how your patience is being stretched
The truth is, I had to go a bit slower on my super XMax, to allow some people to catch up with me
Seriously now, it was really great to catch up, and I'm looking forward to this mythical muster of yours - sounds a bit like an unicorn - people talk about it, some had seen it, but I haven't so I am not sure if there is such thing.
Oh btw I'm back, everything went very well. Now I have to write a report before I forget what I will be getting this certificate for

Glad you got home O.K.

The pleasure was mine and absolutely nothing to apologise for, it was your ride Krystof.

Until next time, great riding mate!

Nice looking “wagon wheel” track.

Congratulations on another big ride!
Congratulations Beefybrain, that would be a very hard ride made more so on a Scooter, well done.
Yah nah, it was real fun, thanks!
I just managed to submit my documentation, and the report will be coming soon.

One thing I noticed, @Skidoo, is that according to the coffee receipt from Nevertire, someone charged us $60 for two coffees.....

All good as discussed - actually it was for 2 x unlimited all night drinking sessions at a date to be decided
