Ride Around Ohio 1000 - Spotwalla ?

#1
Hopefully Ira will answer this question.

I was looking at the instructions for the " RIDE AROUND OHIO" and noticed it said that Spotwalla IS required - whereas all the other state rides, it is only recommended, but NOT required.

Is this a typo, or does this one state ride actually require Spotwalla ?
If so, why ?

No, it's not a typo.

The OH-1000 has more documentation requirements than the typical in-state ride, requiring that eight specific jurisdictions be visited in order and that the ride start and end in the same jurisdiction. This is similar to the requirements for the Great Lakes rides. But unlike the GL rides, where the lake prevents taking shortcuts, it is possible to do so on the OH-1000 in spite of the multiple mandatory documentation stops. Thus, the requirement for the Spotwalla track.
