1992 Yamaha TDM850
47,100 miles
$2300

Looking for something a little different and more unique? These bikes were only imported to the US for two years; 1992 and 1993. Most parts, excluding bodywork are still available through Yamaha.

I have owned this bike for over 15 years and it has been wonderful. It was my commuter mule in Portland for most of those years, ridden several times a week year round without complaint.

Engine fully rebuilt at ~25k miles at the same time that I had the custom paint done.

New tires and fork seals

  • Heated grips
  • Givi top box and side cases
  • Custom Rick Mayer saddle (~1" taller than stock)
  • Staintune muffler
  • Delkevic stainless steel header
  • Keihin FCR41 flatslide carburators
  • FZR1000 front brake calibers and bore-matched FJR1300 front brake master cylinder
  • Stainless braided brake lines
  • Galfer brake rotors front and rear
  • Nitron rear shock
  • Includes factory service manual and an assortment of maintenance spares

Minor damage on left side of fairing from a zero-speed garage tip-over.

Located in Albuquerque, NM

Ha! Who knew there were 3 people in Aust. that actually liked these and what are the odds they are all here!? Always liked them but they never sold well here - there are a few of the later model around but very few of this earlier round-headlight model.
This just speaks to how sophisticated and discerning our friends in Australia are. We should all strive to reach these levels of refinement.
