2024 Training Seminar
We are planning to hold a Training Seminar on Saturday 21st Sept (similar to the one held in Aranamore in 2016), with hints, tips and insights from some of our seasoned long distance riders on how to prepare yourself and your bike for long (safe and enjoyable) days in the saddle, whether for just Photo Rallies, entry level Certificate Rides or more extreme challenges.
The venue is 10 minutes form the RTE in Kill, County Kildare, for those who wish to attend both.
Timings are 2.30pm to 5.30pm.

Outline programme is as follows:

1430 to 1435 - Intro,
1435 to 1450 - Vehicle preparation,
1455 to 1515 - Personal preparation,
1520 to 1540 - Tracking hard/software (SPOT, Bubbler, Spotwalla, Open Camera),
1545 to 1610 - Iron Butt Motel (sleep deprivation and circadian rhythm)
1615 to 1635 - Route Planning,
1640 to 1700 - How to ride 1000 miles and more in a day,
1705 to 1720 - All The Gear All The Time (ATGATT),
1720 onwards - Question/Comments.

The cost of the seminar will be 20 Euro, please email me ([email protected]) if you wish to attend.
Numbers will be limited to 25.

Less than a month to go, with several places still available, we have secured a great venue, only 10 minutes ride from the RTE at The Dew Drop in Kill, with wonderful hosts who will be laying in refreshments mid Seminar.
The team of speakers met last weekend to fine tune the programme.
Looking forward to seeing you.
