Hoping to do a 50CC at some time and have a question for those who have done one recently. Looking at Jacksonville to S.D. and it seems like interstate traffic has become crazier than ever (I35 for example). Any help on construction updates and big city traffic would be appreciated.

Many of us who have done the ride start at a time to miss rush hour traffic in Houston. Either by starting very early to get through Houston by 3:00 PM or starting later to pass thought Houston after 8:00 PM.

I use these state highway information websites to get an idea of large scale construction and traffic.

I just did the trip a few weeks ago. I did west-to-east. I left SD at 8 AM local time and stopped in Bourne TX to sleep around 4 AM local time. I left there about 12:30 PM local time and arrived in Jax about 7 AM the following morning. I went through Houston about 4PM to 430PM. Traffic was heavy but I used the HOV lane most of the way through and it moved very well. I did not encounter any significant construction along the way.
