Very well done Jeff. And a big shout out to Gus for escort duties. Old habits never fail when a fellow rider needs a hand. Also appears Jeff's on the return journey. Obviously the tyre need has or will be looked after later on. May he have a tail wind on his return across the paddock.

How dumb am I? It could have been possible to source a tyre in Mildura, and have a competent tyre fitter waiting for Jeff's arrival on his return journey tomorrow. Sorry Jeff, I didn't think of the issue further last night. There is a competent mechanic in the Port Augusta region, if a tyre could have been sourced today.
Edit:
Just checked the tracker, as he is on his return east, did he get a front tyre?
I'll ring around just in case.

Update: To give Jeffery the opportunity to continue his ride, I've sourced a tyre and have a competent tyre fitter available, for fitting tomorrow. Just waiting on Jeffery to confirm he will accept.

Edit: Jeffery has declined the offer. He will be satisfied with what he has achieved, and his new ride plan when completed.

Would love to know what the hell happened here on the way in given that on the way out, all was as advertised. Unless there was a detour which was lifted last night...

Fatman is correct. It is my Spot3, but as I have no further use of it, I offered it to Jeffery at the Buronga fuel stop. I had to resubscribe to the tracking feature, as I'd let it expired. We will sort out the financials later. The priority was to get it working for the ride. The Spotwalla interface was configured sometime after the Findmespot service was set up. I think that would be the delay Murphyau was referring to.
Enjoy!
Ron, if that’s the case I will hang on to the Spot2 and offer it to someone else.
