They can't be over 35... cause there's no way someone over 35 would have made the font so small!

Anyone know a way to increase font size on a zumo? (I hate to think I'll need my bifocals on the bike now!)

I think you're right, but I'd say more like 25. This might help:

To change the keyboard size on a zumo 450, 500, or 550 device:
  1. Touch Settings
  2. Touch Keyboard
  3. Select the desired keyboard setting
    • The three options are Standard, Large Buttons, and Auto
  4. Touch OK to save the change
Repeat these steps as desired.
To change the keyboard size on a zumo 220, 660, or 665 device:
  1. Touch Tools
  2. Touch Settings
  3. Touch System
  4. Touch the button under Keyboard Layout
  5. Touch the desired keyboard setting
    • The zumo 660 and 665 offer ABCDE, QWERTY, and Large Mode
    • The zumo 220 offers Standard Mode and Large Mode
  6. Touch OK to save the change
Repeat these steps as desired.
To change the keyboard size on a zumo 350, 390, 395, 590, or 595 device:
  1. Touch Settings
  2. Touch Language & Keyboard
  3. Touch Keyboard Layout or Keyboard Language
  4. Touch the desired keyboard setting
    • zumo 350 and 390 options are QWERTY, ABCDE, and Large Buttons
    • zumo 395, 590, and 5951 options are QWERTY and Large Buttons in the preferred language
  5. Touch Save
Repeat these steps as desired.
Note that the zumo 350, 390, and 590 also have a mode-adaptive keyboard. For more information on what the mode-adaptive keyboard is and how to use it, see related content.

I also found this info, (may or may not apply to your device):
Under the setup menu there is an option for advanced settings under advanced settings there should be an option for text size, this will adjust the size of the text on all map items.

Eric,
Thanks... I have the 396... brand new... and apparently they have changed it up a bit. I don't see an "advanced settings" option under any of the menus.

PS: I was going to say 25 lol

Looks like the only option they give you is large buttons on the 395/6.

You might play around with some of these settings. Map detail and auto zoom perhaps?

Map and Vehicle Settings
Select Settings > Map & Vehicle.
Vehicle
Sets the vehicle icon that represents your position on the map.
Driving Map View
Sets the perspective on the map.
Map Detail
Sets the level of detail on the map. More detail may cause the map to draw slower.
Map Theme
Changes the color of the map data.
Map Tools
Sets the shortcuts that appear in the map tools menu.
Map Layers
Sets the data that appears on the map page (Customizing the Map Layers).
Auto Zoom
Automatically selects the zoom level for optimal use of your map. When disabled, you must zoom in or out manually.
Skip Next Stop Confirmation
Sets a confirmation message to appear when skipping a location on your route.
myMaps
Sets which installed maps the device uses.

I wish I'd seen this thread before I bought my 396 last week, I would have investigated the Zumo closer. I took it out for a spin the other day and was squinting to see the "Trip A" mileage on the map display page. Why the heck do they need 100 thousand miles worth of preceding zeros is beyond me. Hey Garmin, how about dropping those preceding zeros and increasing the font size dynamically. Then I can choose if I need to see 100,000 miles or reset.

Has anyone figured a hack to do the above or change font size?
