Dan Simmonds Tenere is fubar'd.
The TPS sensor did not solve the issue. The dealership dropped the oil and found more metal than a dentists rubbish bin. There are contingency plans to get him another ride, but according to "Warchild" each has it's own issues and problems. Damn.

Update on the Simmonds situation:

IBR (?) Staff member Bill Thweet is loaning Dan Simmonds his 2012 Tenere that is is rally-ready with fuel cell, lights, hydration systems, etc.

Well, IBR 2019 is done and dusted with a heap of great experiences and the odd challenge that seemed insurmountable at the time but we did it.
Now back in Minnesota resting, catching up on sleep and getting the RT ready for hibernation. A full ride report is on the way, watch this space.

And in case you thought we were enjoying lazy summer days here check this out - we saw plenty of this white stuff in our travels!

What an adventure!

Congratulations Kiwi n PP and to our Ozzies, Chop Chop, Drain & Margaret

A BIG congratulations to Wendy Crockett!
Absolutely agree with the above - well done to all the Aussies!
Special mention goes to Ian (and his helping hero Dan) - replacing a final drive and still coming 37th!
I enjoyed reading the IBR reports throughout, and watching the Spot shenanigans, and some of the fb stuff as well!
