Hi Greg. I've stated my opinion on the vent line method. Nothing you did changes that. The '18 FJR has a slightly different layout than my '04 had, but same two lines coming out of the tank for venting and drain. Yamaha is fond of putting a vapor condenser/separator at the top of the tank on the vent line. I'm not sure how that may impact fuel transfer, especially in hot temps, but suspect it may have some impact.

The nice thing about the FJR's layout is that the bottom of the aux tank is always higher than the bottom of the main tank. That certainly helps for any aux fuel system. It will be interesting to see how your set up works when it's 100F next summer. And how the FJR's fuel pump deals with the extra work pulling fuel via vacuum thru the relatively small line.

You might want to consider a Guglatech fuel filter on the main and aux tanks.
