I have been playing around with bigger rear tires on my 2019 BMW GSA so I can get a bigger contact patch on the road and more miles out of a tire. I am looking for a good car tire but, in the meantime, I tried a 180/55R17 and it fit just fine and felt good. I had ordered a 1/4-inch wheel spacer similar to the one I used on my 2016 BMW RT so I could mount a car tire. I also bought longer wheel bolts to cover the wheel spacer.
Today I mounted a 190/50R17 rear tire and with the wheel spacer if fits great.
I am not sure it is going to be better but .....
