Can 2 Bikes Share 1 gas receipt on the Saddlesore 1000?

My husband and I are doing our first iron Butt this weekend on our own individual bikes. On our cross country rides he always pays for the gas for both bikes.
I saw part of the rules requires one to take a photo with the receipt next to the odometer. Is it ok if we take individual photos using the same receipt for each bike at each stop?
We want to ensure we follow the rules in pursuit of the iron Butt patch/award.
Please advise.
