Hi people, just got myself an ole FJR mainly for commuting as I just cant handle the summer traffic on the M5, and while looking for a bike I seen an ad from a guy who mentioned he had been doing some IB stuff. I'd never heard of it so looked it up and once I read up on you guys thought to myself "Proper job," I'd be up for some of that.....
I know its not quite up to your standards but had already been chatting to an ole mate about doing a solstice run, where we go watch the sun rise at ness point in Lowestoft, jump on the bikes and make our way down to Land's End to watch it set......but we all need to start some where.....

We do an annual Winter Solstice ride aka Shortest Ride of the Year (SROTY) in 2024 we did Lowestoft to Whitesands and 2023 Samphire Hoe to Lands End. For the Summer Solstice we do the RBLR1000. Then there is the January to October Brit Butt Tour. Some links:

This ride will be an especially holy one. Starting at sunrise on Lindisfarne aka Holy Island and finishing at sunset in Holyhead also aka Holy Island.

been a time since i last used paypal......cant even remember how i use it......the results of a misspent youth.....but that britbutt tour sounds interesting....
just sent the dosh and email, so hopefully will be able to start on the first ride soon......

I will keep my eyes peeled, what sort of places do you go to eat, does it have to be a sit down resturant or can it be like a burger bar or fish and chips down the sea front?

It's wherever anyone chooses to call it - can be any of those things, or a pub with meals.
 
January's RTE was in the southeast at Rykas Box Hill. upcoming events include: 9th May there is a European RTE in Dartford; 21st April QE11 Centuary SS1000. Some more links:

2026 is the centenary of the birth of the late Queen Elizabeth II, Britains longest serving monarch at 70 years and 214 days.

To celebrate the occasion, I have planned a ride to include various locations relevant to her reign.
