I'm planning a Heaven to Hell Gold Ride on July 20th (my birthday) arriving in Bad Water on the 21st.
I live in Las Vegas and I ride everyday, so I am familiar with the heat and what I will be getting myself into when I reach Bad Water. What I don't know is Pike's Peak and Independence Pass.
This will be done at the end of moderate paced one week journey that will take me through California, Nevada, New Mexico and Texas. I'm also planning a SS1000 from TX to CO the day before my Heaven-to-Hell Ride.
Again. Looking for words of wisdom from people that have done this ride or have thought about it. I have the route and gas stops planned but they are not fine tuned yet.
