Hello from Cornwall!

Hi all,

George here from the deep west of Cornwall. Currently the owner of a Suzuki GS500 but, come Friday, it'll be part-ex'd in for a Honda CB500x. Might sound a little bit piddly compared to some of the big tourers I've seen in posts here, but I did my A2 and was so happy with that that I never got around to doing my A. I'm also pretty short so 500s are just about the right size for me and are okay for motorways once you replace a sprocket!

Already thrown my Arai into the ring for the Brit Butt Tour which looks like I'll be spending lots of days off fighting my way out of Cornwall and Devon! Will hopefully do an End to End this summer too seeing as it starts right on my doorstep.

Nice to meet you all, looking forward to hopefully seeing some of you out on the road!

Welcome George, you'll enjoy the BBT. Having started my motorcycling touring of the UK on a 32 bhp 250 I wouldn't knock a 50 bhp 500 it can get the job done and I'd be interested to hear how the CB500X performs with the higher gearing.

Welcome George, My first bike was a GS500E. Must be great living in Cornwall , but a long way to reach so e of the BBT points.

Don't worry about the size of your engine, 125cc bikes have done loads of certified rides.
