I'm not sure what that's going to look like yet. I have a SWMotech pillion replacement rack, but if I use it directly, I suspect I will need to add some additional support. Otherwise, I may just fab a plate from scratch. I'll know more when I physically have the tank in my hands.
It's easy to run bolts through the SW rack to the subframe where the grab bars bolt. Just get some spacers from McMaster and that plate will be rock solid and still easy to remove when desired.

Greg, What hella horn did you use and how would you rate it's loudness. can yjey be exposed to the weather?
Thanks
Roy
Roy, Eric gave you links to some good horns. Here are the horns I bought because they were cheap ( $28 ) and had the BMW type plug, so it was easy to swap one of the horns. The GSA only comes with one horn, so I had to tap into the wire to add the second horn.

I mean, if you don't want it anymore, I could give it a home. Y'know, until you want it again. Maybe. :D
If I ever decide to give it away, I will keep you in mind. :)

I am trying to see about putting it back on the GSA as I am planning on riding to the Panama Canal later this year and it probably will come in handy.

Cool, I had no idea you could buy Hella horns with a BMW plug. I just rode a F750GS into the garage yesterday. I suspect Cletha will be wanting a louder horn... I usually get her one of the compact electro-pneumatic ones like the Denali Soundbomb or one of the cheaper copies.

I have one floating around Eric if needed. But any dealer will sell you a "repair plug" which is what you want, it's a BMW plug on one end that connects from horn plug of the bike and bare wires on the other also Twisted Throttle and a few others sell them. The Hella horn and a few others are plug and play, no additional plug needed.

Keep in mind, if you exceed the canbus power draw it will throw an error. The sound Bomb mini works perfect with the stock power draw and is very loud.

Plug:

Sound Bomb mini:

I have one of the Denali plugs that goes from the BMW horn plug to two spade connectors, left over from the GSA ownership. I was looking hard at that Soundbomb Mini as well. I like the idea of not needing the extra relay and a simple swap that won't over draw the canbus for the horn. It comes down to what Cletha wants in the end. :) Good to know about the "repair plug". Thank you.

It was great seeing so many of you in JAX! I peered over so many bikes, asked several riders questions and took a few pics too.

I rode down and back on my new Dunlop TrailMax Missions. They worked great, and wore little. I am trying to keep measurements, but only have new and one other, so I'll save that for later. I need to move my cupholder, as it is a bit in the way when reaching around. I'll probably move my SPOT, exploring ideas I saw on Greg Rice's GSA.

I got my RDL two days after I returned, so zero miles on that as of right now.

Next on my big list is my aux tank.
