Invictus Tour 2 2022.jpg

ENTRY TO IVICTUS 2 TOUR IS NOW OPEN

The link to the entry form is https://britbuttrally.wufoo.com/forms/2022-invictus-tour-entry-form
The tour will be held on 4th June 2022, which is on the long weekend of the Platinum Jubilee bank holiday
This year we can start and finish the tour at a hotel.
This makes it a much more sociable and enjoyable event, where you can meet like minded people and talk about the adventures that you have had on the day.
The Tour Hotel has agreed to hold for a set period, 15 rooms which is made up of 6 single, 5 double and 4 twin rooms at a rate of £70 per room per night on a room and breakfast basis
for single occupancy.
A £10 supplement will be charged per night for doubles and twins for extra guests in the room to cover breakfast.
Please book as early as possible, as they start to get very busy with wedding bookings.
For security reasons the hotel details will only be given to entrants, and other volunteer’s
When you phone up tell them that you want to take up a booking for the IBA group.
The carpark is reasonably secure, but the name and location of the hotel will only be given to entrants to keep bikes secure.

Please take care when entering details on the entry form as mistakes are being made. Also make sure you read the tour book carefully when you get it as lots of mistakes were made last year. Mistakes cost points.

Cheers Steve (winglider) tour master.

Invictus Tour 2 2022 (2).jpg

I have just checked with the Invictus Tour 2 hotel and there are only 3 twin rooms and 1 single room left now.
I have just phoned the hotel this afternoon and managed to get the allocation increased. To 2 singles, 3 twins and 6 doubles for both Friday and Saturday nights. All at the agreed price. It is important that you tell them that you are part of the Iron Butt Association group. This is a good deal.

I am also looking for a few volunteers to help out on thee day of the tour, mainly with scoring. very easy and no previous experience required. please contact me if you need more information or are willing to help.

Cheers Steve (tour master)

Well, it’s less than 3 weeks until it’s officially spring. So it’s time to brush the cobwebs off the bike. Check the oil, and tyre pressures, make sure the battery is charged up.

And the other problem that we can have every year is where to go for a ride. The Ironbutt Invictus team have been out riding all through the winter (well a lot of it) gathering locations for this years Invictus Tour. If you like riding around beautiful country lanes in the warm summer sun this is for you. You plan your own route around as many destinations that are listed in the Tour book in Sussex and Kent. It’s a challenge that delivery drivers must solve every day. It’s not a race, just a test of your planning skills and the bonus is you have a great days ride.

We have a hotel arranged for people who want to make a weekend of it but it is filling up so don’t miss out, details of which will only be given to people who have enter.

So why not try it https://ironbutt.co.uk/w3/invictus.php

The added bonus is that every penny profit made goes to charity, this year it’s going to https://www.iih.org.uk

Last year we sent £1000.00 to Myeloma UK

Well the weather is definitely improving and I have been lucky enough to be able to go out today and ride around some of the beautiful country roads and lanes of Sussex and Kent. In order to gather some more bonus locations for the Invictus Tour to be held on the 4th of June. The tour is an 8-hour event, organised by The Iron Butt Association UK, but you can ride as long as you like so long as you finish in the 8 hours.

The tour will start a 9am on the 4th of June in Tonbridge Kent. We have a tour hotel arranged and they are offering entrants a very good deal. Details of the hotel will only be given to entrants, for security reasons. I have just spoken to the hotel, and we still have rooms available. 5 doubles, 3 twin and 2 singles.

We are limiting the number entry’s and it is filling up, so if you want to have a great day’s riding around the Sussex & Kent countryside. Or want a bit of a photographic treasure hunt challenge.

Here’s where to find out a bit more general information.https://forum.ironbutt.org/index.php?threads/what-is-involved.979/

If you want to know a bit more about the actual Tour, then check out this link https://ironbutt.co.uk/w3/invictus.php

If you want to join us check this out,

https://britbuttrally.wufoo.com/forms/2022-invictus-tour-entry-form

it only costs £20 and every penny goes to charity https://www.iih.org.uk

Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension UK. IIH can happen to anyone. It is a condition found more commonly in women (90%), but some men are also affected by it. It is common in teenagers and young women, but can also affect children and adults of any age.

Why not make a weekend of it and stay the Friday and Saturday nights it is a bank holiday after all?

Cheer Steve your Tour Master.

Well, it's only 3 weeks now till the Invictus 2 tour, the Tour book has been completed and just being fine-tuned as we speak. There are still a few places left, so if you are wondering what to do on the Saturday of the Queens Platinum Jubilee Bank holiday on the 4th of June.

Why not sign up for a great day’s riding at your own pace visiting places of your choice and test your navigation and planning skills at the Invictus 2 Tour. Most of the destinations as last year are in the countryside of Sussex and Kent. The tour starts and finishes in Tonbridge at a hotel location only sent to entrants.

The Tour book will be sent to entrants one week prior to the tour so you have plenty of time to plan you route. This year I must admit that the signs are that this is going to be a great Tour. So sign up now here’s a bit more information Https://ironbutt.co.uk/w3/invictus.php

As last year I have ordered great weather, which was delivered, but unfortunately there are no guarantees.

Steve,
I apologise, but I am afraid I have to withdraw from this year's Invictus as I need to attend an appointment.
I hope it all goes well, and with luck, will see you at the RBLR.

There is only a couple of weeks left until the Invictus Tour starts on the 4th of June. Summer is now comming in to its full glory and there is nothing better than riding around the Sussex & Kent countryside in the sunshine. If you havent alread signed up now is the time. There are some spaces left. And the Hotel has just confirmed that they will hold some rooms for us. Here is a copy of the email that I have just received.

This email is just to update you on how many rooms you have left for your group booking from the 3rd June for 2 nights. You have 5 double rooms left for both nights, 3 twin rooms for both nights and 2 single rooms for both nights. We will release any rooms that are not taken by the end of next week

So why not try it https://ironbutt.co.uk/w3/invictus.php
Dont miss out on a great weekend.
