I notice that Malcom Milne's GTR 1400 Kawasaki is now located in the Strathalbyn Motor Museum. As Gatey said. Another reason to go for a ride into South Australia. Cheers.
Out of curiosity (because I'm a Yank and don't know the name), is Malcolm a significant figure? How did his bike end up in the museum? Sounds like a neat honor.
Yes, Shawn, Malcolm was a very significant figure in the Australian LD riding community. A well-loved and highly respected gentleman who was still riding big rides well into his 9th decade. Greatly missed now with special place for us to visit and pay our respects. That 1400GTR of his carried him all over the country for hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of thousands of kilometres.
Here's a previous thread you've seen that may provide context for your question:
It’s with deep sadness and sense of loss that I regretfully pass on the news that our much loved Farrider and Iron Butt Senior Malcolm Milne passed away yesterday, Saturday June 14, of a suspected heart attack.
Details of his memorial will be posted once known.
