No Word on Sept 2024 Saddle Sore 1000

I mailed in my application, I have copies of everything if there’s a better way to do it. No check cashed yet.

I’ve emailed the association a few times but trying to strike a balance between eager and making sure not to harass everyone.

Any help this group could give me I’d greatly appreciate. Looking forward to hopefully being certified and joining this organization soon!

Not enough time has elapsed for the ride to be processed.

Recommend *not* duplicating effort with a resubmission at this time.

Since you sent a check, when it's cashed is when it's certified.

Thanks - This is my first attempt

Thanks, since this is my first time I have no frame of reference for how long it should take. Is there any consensus on how long is normal? 6 months?

That's just it, every ride is unique, every ride story submitted is unique, and every person doing verification has their process, so trying to give a half-way reliable estimate...is virtually impossible.

You can certainly cruise thru the forum here to see the vast number of others that have similar queries.

If this is a continental US ride, four to six months is a pretty good estimate.

The 'shoulder seasons' are a big time for rides to happen. Thus, there's a bubble of submissions for the verification team to tackle.

Check back by the middle of February.

Thanks everyone for the responses. All I was looking for was ‘don’t panic, you’re still in the appropriate window.’ - which is the exact response I got. Fingers crossed it will happen soon, I’m sitting on a fun video about the journey waiting on the ‘unboxing’ of the package I ordered. Tough to contain my enthusiasm :)

Thanks for the thread. Makes me feel better knowing its not just me waiting. I didn't even get a verification it was submitted(electronically). S......I wait!!!!!!!

Please check your spam and junk mail folders. You should have received an automatic reply if you submitted electronically.

yeah I checked that with no response. I even sent a message thru the help email with no response. Even added an alternate email.

I’m in the same boat as you. Completed and mailed in a saddlesore gold 2000 September 2024 and haven’t heard a thing yet nor is my checked cashed. I’ve done two other rides and neither of them took this long to get back to me so I’m getting a bit worried. Both of the others were mailed in too. If you don’t mind post back here if you end up hearing anything on your ride.

Normal stuff for a mailed in application. We all waited with baited breath for the check to clear. When it does, you know you’re in and will shortly get a packet in the mail. The internet revolution has changed things, but some stuff still just takes time.

Check your email, verification has written a few times (no supplied map and we are coming up short on mileage based on receipts for the Gold level), I sent to both of your email addresses we have for you ahead of this post from my personal email with questions they need help with.

You are >< close on miles, that means a few trips to different teams to see what they come up with. We understand there was a detour on the route, but always add in at least 30 odometer miles per 1000 to speed things up on our side. Mike

Hi Mike! I emailed over updated mapping to you, any word yet? I after diving into to digital map I see that I mostly likely won’t get gold, but will still get the regular cert. Also thank you for the help with setting up my IBA account!

just filling up on seeing if everything was received. I resubmitted and paid via PayPal online to help a month ago. Don’t want to be a bother but with the snow melting and riding season upon us I want to make sure this one is good to go before my next IBA ride!!

I’ve got such a cluttered email account. I get about 10-15/day that are junk. I try to search through it from time to time by looking for the words “iron butt” or “iba” but nothing other that what I’ve sent. If they were trying to contact me for any reason, would either of those two words or phrases be in the senders email? Submitted 9/12 for SS1000…. did close to 1100 miles so mileage shouldn’t be an issue.

Actually *not* a requirement - you *can* do another ride while one is in the process of being approved.

Have fun!

just following up on seeing if everything was received. I resubmitted everything as a regular SS2000 and paid via PayPal online to help a month and a half ago. I just don't know what else to do from here. I don’t want to be a bother but with the snow melting and riding season upon us I want to make sure this one is good to go before my next IBA ride. Is there any way I can get confirmation that I am at least good to go?
