This relates to an NZ specific ride, this is not generally available elsewhere.
Announcement: Our (NZ) - Pass The Buck rules have been revised, making it easier for these bucks to remain in circulation
.

Short version: only one rider needs to be actively riding a cert-ride in order for two IBA riders to exchange a buck.

This is to encourage a meet-up between two of us during an IBA ride. Yes, it's still ok for both to be riding cert-rides, but it's no longer a requirement.

Full new details here: https://ironbutt.com/themerides/nz/passTheBuck/ - Make sure you see 'version 1.2' press refresh, or CTRL-F5 to force a refresh if needed.

I've tried to keep this as clear as possible, but if anyone has issues understanding these, and has a recommendation on how to make them clearer, please private message me.

- Thanks in advance.

Also, you can nest a Pass-The-Buck ride inside of another 'special' SS1600K cert (not within a standard SS1600K cert). This may appear to go against normal nesting rules, but we have approval for this approach. Note, nested rides do NOT count as 'extras' for Mile Eater purposes, you'll still only get ONE ride counted for that.

If you do Pass-The-Buck, and end up with a nested PTB cert, then a PDF of that will not cost you anything. I (Chris) will create that for you without cost.

You will still be expected to pay normal fees for your main (non-nested) ride. If you perform the PTB as your primary ride, then you'll be expected to pay normal fees for the PTB SS1600K cert. This removal of the nested fees is to encourage us to PTB, and to keep these things moving along...

IT'S ALL JUST A BIT OF FUN, and intended to get you out riding!
