purchasing IBA stuff

Hi,
Advice please. I completed the RBLR 1000 in June and would like to buy an IBA tee-shirt. I think I remember someone at Squires` saying you have to wait for a membership number to come through before you can buy any stuff online. Is that correct? or was I knackered and completely heard it wrong.
