RTE special certificate requirement

I'm planning on attending the Small Mountain Tacos Event on April 10th. I saw that last year, there was a special certificate given to those who rode a SS1K to the event.

My question is- Do you have to be "on the clock" when you arrive at the event site in order to qualify for the special certificate? I have planned to do a SS1K on Friday April 9th while enroute to the event, staying the night nearby, then riding to the event in Medicine Park on Saturday morning.

My understanding is that you do your ride on the way to the event and submit your paperwork to the IBA like any other ride, applying for a SS1K or what ever ride you do, and specify that it was done as part of the Annual Taco Run 2021. edit - most of these type of certs do not require you to be on the clock when you arrive, though many people do that. You are the one saying you did the ride for that event, no one else is certifying that aspect for you.

Get yourself a IBA certificate with a minimum 1,000 mile ride in or out.
(must follow IBA guidelines, verification must be mailed to IBA to receive ATR certificate.)

I would suggest if you want more detail, you contact the ATR people.
