Saddle Sore ride in Texas

Hi Everyone I'm new year. I live in FT Worth, TX I'm 71 yrs old and don't get to ride as often as I use to but I am wanting to try and ride the SS challange does anyone have a good ride in mind to ride for the SS challange? I'm thinking about riding to El Paso and coming back but not sure about the time difference and how that would affect my ride. I also thought about riding to Sturgis, SD but not sure if I should try to accomplish two tasks at onc time might be a bit much. All advise and help is appreciated.

You would want to figure out how you want to go about gas stops, some look them up and preplan them, I'm not one of them, well in advance I search along my current on either my GPS or phone and find one within my range, I try not to make it the last on I could get to in case there is an issue.
