its a stealth tax
any idea where these zones are as it isn't easy to spot on any of these websites not just Scotland's.
i quickly glanced over the supposed survey, what it doesn't say is who they surveyed and how many and how varied that survey was.
no doubt they'd get favourable results if the survey was done in the green party offices. it all looks dodgy to me.

With the shape and scope of LEZs now agreed across the four cities through this introduction, local grace periods until enforcement commences have now begun.
  • In Glasgow, the LEZ already applies to buses. For other vehicle types, enforcement commences on 1 June 2023 (1 June 2024 for residents within the zone)
  • Edinburgh will commence enforcement on 1 June 2024
  • Dundee will commence enforcement on 30 May 2024
  • Aberdeen will commence enforcement on 1 June 2024

More of a money generation exercise than a clean air thing......

Yes it will cause companies to invest in cleaner vehicles, even electric...... the council of course will have to ensure their fleet complies, so council tax will need to go up to pay for all of this, resulting in more protests and strikes for more money.....


Cynical me, noooooo...........

So Not Politically correct.
