Seat upgrade for a FZS600 Fazer

#1
Looking for a cheap and cheerful upgrade to my bike seat in the UK.

I don’t need to go super fancy as it will only be a 400-500 mile a day ride but the seat is a killer after just 100 miles right now. Basically I’m sitting on the pan rather than the foam at that stage!

Any advice from you chaps there in Blighty would be gratefully received?

Cheers

Perhaps the local upholstery shop can help you out at a fair price? There are a host of UK custom seat makers, but some are more about appearance than comfort.

Andy, why don't you invest in an Airhawk seat cover. Works well. I've used one on 4 of my bikes over thousands of kilometres. Cheers.

I have a cheap as chips eBay made in China foam seat cover with an equally cheap as chips ebay mesh cover over that, foam for comfort, mesh for air flow/dry butt. Works for me 20+ hours in the saddle.

rode a fazer one time and the seat wasnt design for comfort so i know what you feel. simple answer for me was to buy something else. but the old school solution was to throw a sheep skin over the seat. mesh is great if you have really hot weather got one myself still waiting for the weather to use it in the uk.
otherwise some form of after market seat might do it

Andy let me know when you're over. I'd love to buy you breakfast someplace in the UK
