Having knocked over the SantaSore1600K a week earlier, this was to be the last ride of the year - and set out to finish what failed to eventuate in December 2024.
So, I started out from a location that isn't my 'usual' start point - Riverwood at a time a little earlier than I usually would (0036). This ride was taken on a familiar route however this time instead of being on the 'lounge on wheels' (Ultra Limited) I was on my HD Street 500. Straight down the Hume was the order of the day Effectively riding tank to tank. Usually I'd turn around at Epping (to the north of Melbourne CBD) however this time I extended the ride into Melbourne a little more and then onto Geelong before turning around and retracing my route north arriving back into Sydney with fireworks (slightly ahead of midnight which is typically in my neck of the woods). The OzIBA reviewers looked on the submission favourably (as always, with thanks and gratitude) and the ride was duly certified.
With that certification complete - that allowed for submission for a My Brand Rocks - 2 (Harley-Davidson) which also came through favourably. Mission accomplished.
