Spot anomaly.

The trip:

Now that’s interesting….

In saying that I was involved in retrieving a rider with a fractured leg near White cliffs a few years ago and the SPOT reflected that he was some 200km from the actual location (a rider activated the emergency button on the SPOT). Took a few local and international calls to sort that one out.

Ooh, are you going to submit an IBA ride application.

It could be a matter of perspective.

SPOTWALLA uses a 2D map, Perhaps it is showing a 3D event. Maybe Elon Musk and DODGY snatched a way point with his Starlink system for being extraneous.

Then, just like he did with the nuclear workers, he said "err, phoops, it phlooks phlike we made a mithtake. Mithtakes will be made. Err, thith is AWESOMMMMMME!!! Yeahhh".

From the next way point it's back to business as usual like nothing happened.

Advice provided was as follows:

Yes, SPOT points can be deleted in SpotWalla.
1. Login.
2. In the 'Devices' section - select the messages for your device.
3. Find the specific message and click on it's number
4. Once the details have loaded, scroll to the bottom of the screen and select 'DELETE'.

I'm not sure if you delete it in Spot itself, whether it will delete in SpotWalla (as SpotWalla will have already cached the message via the XML feed). Time will tell.

The other way to do this is:
1. Login
2. Select your trip
3. Select the point
4. Click 'Update Picture'
5. Once the details have loaded, scroll to the bottom of the screen and select 'DELETE'.
